The Portuguese Pirate Party (Portuguese: Partido Pirata Português) is a political party in Portugal. Based on the model of the Swedish Pirate Party, it supports copyright and patent law reform, and privacy.[1] The party was founded on May 12, 2009,[2] and was a founding member of Pirate Parties International.[3]

The party is not yet recognised by the Portuguese Constitutional Court.[4]
